Teaching & Research Assistants･Teaching Fellow (Although a permission to engage in remunerative activities is not required for TA, RA, and TF, status of residence to work is required for DR.)

TA (Teaching Assistant) ¥1,150/hour – ¥1,350/hour

Teaching assistants are employed by faculties / graduate schools to assist in preparing teaching materials, and as lab assistants.
Eligibility : Graduate students from Master’s Courses, Doctoral Courses, and Professional Couses with excellent academic records

RA (Research Assistant) ¥1,300/hour – ¥1,950/hour

Research assistants are employed by faculties / graduate schools to provide research support.
Eligibility : Graduate students from Master’s Courses, Doctoral Courses, and Professional Couses with excellent academic records*

TF (Teaching Fellow) ¥1,600/hour – ¥1,650/hour

Teaching Fellows are employed by faculties / graduate schools to assist experiments, field training, or practical training for undergraduate students.
Eligibility : Students fulfilling all of the following requirements:

• PhD students
• Students who have sufficient knowledge of the class subject
• Students who have prior experience as a Hokkaido University TA.
• Students who have completed a teaching fellow training provided or are approved by Institute for the Advancement of Higher Education

DR (Doctoral Researcher)

Annual Salary will follow the Hokkaido University Postdoctoral fellow salary guide. Doctoral
Researchers are employed by faculties / graduate schools to undertake academic research.
Eligibility :

• PhD students
• Excellent students who are highly motivated to be researchers with a leadership.
• Students are expected to graduate within the period of study.
